Sleeping Beauty Gets Released

The surgeon's optimism about Tir's recovery was proven to be warranted when Tir was released from the hospital exactly a week after he'd been admitted. Amidst a crowd of nurses who had gathered to say goodbye to their favorite patient, Peter happily wheeled his lover out to a waiting car that Moragainne had sent to pick them up and take them to her home. The generous offer to have Tir and Peter stay with her would have been impossible to refuse. Peter knew that Tir would feel more relaxed in the warmth of a real home rather than the hotel, and he would have more space for his temporary office. It was an ideal situation. Peter had made his phone calls, and while he'd been disappointed that Inez said she wouldn't be joining them, he did understand that while he thought of her as a mother, the truth was she was Will's mom and her taking a trip to Ireland to be with Peter would upset him. Things were already on shaky ground with Will and Peter didn't want to run the risk of losing him. He was dreading telling him about the engagement, but he knew that it would need to be done.

Once they were settled in the car, Peter put his arm around Tir so his lover could rest against him. "How're you feeling, baby? We can still have an ambulance take you if you don't think you'll be comfortable."

"Yup, I'm usually the troublemaker," Peter said, rubbing his cheek against Tir's palm. "Look at you making me all responsible."

"Aye and if I had t' be responsible who'd be yer pet then?" Tir grinned softly at the slight scratch of stubble against his skin.

"I don't want to think of a time when you wouldn't be my beautiful pet," Peter said, his voice gentle as he smiled at the man he loved.

"And yours I am, luv, for as long as y'll have m'." Tir tilted his chin to kiss Peter softly, lovingly. "You know I would never willingly take off yer collar."

Peter sobered at that and nodded. "I know, baby," he whispered. "I know you never would. And I'm going to get it back. I don't care what I have to do."

"Ach it doesna matter, luv. I've y'self and that means far more t' m' than the collar. Leave it wie him, fer that's all the wee bugger'll ever have of me. I've a real man now, not a blusterin' childish bully who plays at bein' a man." Tir held Peter close.

Peter nodded, never feeling prouder that Tir loved him. "I'll get you another one, I promise," he whispered, holding onto him. "It'll be exactly what you want and be something that no one else has ever had."

"And it comes from your hand it's all I could ever want, luv." Tir smiled and brushed a kiss to Peter's lips.

Peter smiled and touched his forehead to Tir's. He knew he would always be haunted by how close he'd come to losing Tir, but it would make him appreciate just how precious the man was to him.

"I love you," he whispered just as there was a knock at the door. "That must be our tea," he said, then called for them to come in.

"Love y' too, Yank." Tir whispered, not bothering to try and sit up as a rather pretty young woman of about 18 or 20 brought in their tea tray.

The lass dropped a sort of curtsy to Peter before setting the tray on the low table in front of the fireplace. "Mr. Michael says 'e 'opes y' enjoy yer tea, gentlemen and Mrs. Mulroney say t' ring up if y've the slightest need. Oh and Madame 'as arrived t' 'ome and asked if y'd mind 'er comin' by t' take tea wie y' and t' see fer 'erself 'ow Mr Murtaugh is feelin'."

Peter was completely charmed by the attractive young woman, and he couldn't help thinking how adorable she was as he thanked her for bringing up their tea.

"And please tell Madame we would love for her to join us," he added. "What's your name, sweetheart?"

Tir sat smiling at the interaction, watching Peter charm the girl in a lovely blushing smile.

"I'm Mrs. Mulrony's granddaughter, Fiona." She dropped another little curtsy. "I'm Madame's maid of all work, sir, s' if there's anythin' y' need, just crook y' finger and I'll be right t' it." Finishing with a wink and a saucy grin, Fiona turned and slipped out of the room

Tir had to laugh at the little minx. "I think y' gained a fan there, luv. Good thing y've no interest in women or I might have t' do somethin' drastic."

"Yeah, what kind of drastic?" Peter teased. "She's pretty hot, so you might have to watch out and make sure to keep my attention."

"Aye, she is at that, but she lacks certain charms that I don'." Tir grinned.

"Okay, you've got me there," Peter said, lowering a hand to Tir's lap and very gently brushing his fingers over his lover's crotch. "There's one particular charm you have that I absolutely adore."

"Aye? Well y' might want t' consider adorin' it a bit more. I think it's been lonely lately." Tir grinned and raised his hips just slightly under Peter's hand.

Peter smiled wickedly. "Okay, but only a little bit more. I don't want you pulling any stitches because the little guy gets too excited. Or, I should say not so little guy."

"I'll be careful, luv, but y' know, if we were t' go and lay down together, I'd be less likely t' pull somethin'." Tir gave his best wheedling grin.

Peter narrowed his eyes. "You're good," he said, then laughed. "All right, how about after Mora has tea with us, we go lie down and I say hello to the big guy?"

"And do I get t' say my hellos as well?" Tir's hand drifted down to brush lightly over the bulge in Peter's trousers.

"Oh, sweetheart, you can have a full conversation, if you like," Peter said with a soft sigh at the teasing touch.

"Don't know that 'm up to the full conversation I'd like t' have." Tir grinned and gave the bulge a gentle squeeze. "But I'd definitely want t' pay m' respects."

Peter hissed and the bulge grew a little larger. "Mora's going to have a hell of a surprise when she gets here if you keep that up."

Tir drew his hand away slowly, allowing his fingers to drag over Peter as he smiled at the Yank. "Should I sit on m' hands like a naughty lad then?"

"I'd rather you sit on my lap," Peter chuckled, leaning in to give Tir a kiss. "Or my face. Both work really well for me."
