The surgeon's optimism about Tir's recovery was proven to be warranted when Tir was released from the hospital exactly a week after he'd been admitted. "Okay, baby," Peter said, carefully getting up so he could get Tir his medication and a glass of water. "Here you are," he said, putting everything on the night stand and making sure Tir was comfortable before giving him the pill and the glass.

Tir took the pill and swallowed, smiling up at Peter as he handed him back the water. "Now come here and hold me, luv."
